MERCY DROPS ARE FALLING AGAIN

“Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
- Exodus 33:19
A while back, the Lord kept showing me a picture of a massive drop of golden liquid hanging in the air. It was translucent and glistening, and it was rich thick like honey. As I walked into worship and began to sing and pray, the Lord gave me the following vision. I was looking up to the heavens and suddenly the sky above me was covered with a sheet of honeycomb. The honeycomb stretched from one end of heaven to the other and the pockets of honey were vibrating to the sound of worship. Then, as I was looking in anticipation, the Lord changed my perspective and I was watching the honeycomb from heaven’s side.
As I was looking at the throne room, I saw Jesus standing there in Kingly attire. The entire room was filled with His glory and draped in golden light, as if everything was made of translucent gold. Jesus was standing on the backside of the honeycomb. It was as if a sea of honeycomb stretched across the heavens. He had a golden staff in His hand and He took His staff and pounded the honeycomb floor three times.

Call to the Rain

Let it Rain...

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.” Hebrews 12:1-4

“Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;” 2 Peter 3:11-14

“And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the£ Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” Revelation 19:6, 7

As I write this blog, my eyes keep glancing out the windows of my office to the horizon, I see flashes of lightning and thunder. Now, in the natural, it is a lovely day, 80 degrees and sunny, but in my spirit I see storm clouds coming, great and mighty storm clouds, unlike any day the world has ever seen before, nor shall ever see again. I sense a day upon us unlike any time in history. It is a season of transfiguration, a time of the kingdoms of this world to collide with the Kingdom of Our God! A rapid moving of the consummation of all things is at hand. I can hear the beckoning of the Lord Jesus crying out –

Remembering John Wimber

I wanted to share a video compilation I put together for our church. It was too big for YouTube so I put it in my public DropBox folder. You can watch it here... Remembering John Wimber

Seeing Cross-eyed

“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” – Col 2:9-10

What an amazing gift we have in Christ Jesus! As believers in the saving grace of Calvary we have been given something the world longs to see and know. We have been grafted into the bosom of Christ Himself, born again, and seated at the right hand of majesty. This incredible gift cannot be earned. It is not something that we strive for as if the works of our hands can somehow bring us to that place of reconciliation with God. It is a gift of grace for all that call Him Lord.

The problem is that the same church that understands the nature of saving-grace struggles when it comes to believing that they are filled with fullness of the Godhead. That somehow, after receiving salvation, we have to work at, or struggle even, to receive all that the Holy Spirit has to offer.  We pray for an open Heaven. We strive to be filled with His presence. We work with all that we can muster, to try to obtain what we already have. What we fail to understand is that this striving is often based on a works mindset. Now that does not mean that we do not hunger and thirst for more. We do. Our soul craves for more of Him. However, that hungering is birthed out of relationship and longing, like a bride for her groom. Works, on the other hand, is performance driven. We call out wanting what Christ has already given us. In Christ, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells. The promise of Jesus is that the believer would be filled to the full with Christ, Poppa, and the Holy Spirit, for all of the Godhead is in Him.

Verily, verily, I say unto you...

“And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man” John 1:51

(note: the end of this post was amended due to a vision I had, shortly after the original post.)

I find it fascinating, every time I read these two little words from Jesus, “verily, verily.” This duet appears 25 times in the New Testament and only in the book of John, and only spoken by Jesus. You lose the impact of this combination in the newer translations such as the NIV, where they use the words “very truly.” the Greek here is actually the word “amÄ“n.” Its origin is Hebrew. It is often translated trustworthy, surely, so be it, amen, truly, and verily. According to Strong's, it has been called the best-known word in human speech. The word is directly related - in fact, almost identical - to the Hebrew word for “believe” (amam), or faithful, and it carries the notion of being “firm.” Thus, it came to mean “sure” or “truly,” an expression of absolute trust and confidence.

Drink My Bride...

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.  Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.  I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.” - Psalms 63:1-4

“I’m simply done with life.  57, not terminal or depressed. I was going to use the plastic bag, but too many failed attempt stories.  I live in an apartment bldg, in
California USA & if someone hears me moaning inside the bag & calls the police, it’s BAD news for me. I’ve tried dehydration 4 times & have always failed & had water. ...
... I’m on another attempt at dehydration. Something always came up to deter my plan. It’s going much better this time. After 3 days of no food, I have no more hunger. Having no liquids is a lot tougher, but I’ve built up my courage & determination. I’m more willing to suffer dry-mouth, & I won’t “cheat” by eating frozen grapes (they contain enough liquid to delay death). I’ve lost 50 pounds so there’s not much for my body to live on itself. Some people might find this an agonizing way to die. It suits me. ... I’m very much at peace. I’ve made amends to all my friends & family. I’ve been an Atheist, but talked w/ several religious people about death. I believe I’ll go to a nice place, & I’ll recognize those I knew in some way. The dry-mouth is the hardest part of this method. At times it’s really hard to swallow. So I go to sleep for a while. ...” – From the Suicide Project - http://suicideproject.org

Thick Oil for a Chosen Generation

'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the Lord Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace, ' declares the Lord Almighty."
- Haggai 2:9

Something inside me is burning. I can’t let it go. I yearn for that touch of the master’s hand that will shake the very foundation of my life and the lives of those around me. My heart is pounding in anticipation for Jesus to encounter his church like never before. I long for revival, true revival that is sustained for the long hall, a revival that grows from glory to glory, and does not dissipate through the years. I long for a touch of God on the land that will be greater than anything before it. I burn inside to see this generation leek with the presence of God. I long to see the reflection of Jesus on the face of His bride. I long to hear his heart beat and feel his embrace.

The Anointing

Saturday morning a butterfly landed on my armchair. I was in Florida, and it was gorgeous outside, so I wasn't supprised, except that butterflies speak so deeply to my heart. They speak of destiny and transformation. I had been sitting their wondering about life and destiny, and there it was, this little winged angel gazing up at me. I was immediately reminded about a word the Lord shared with me this last summer.
For weeks, the Lord had been sending me butterflies. When I asked Him what it meant He said "Transformation – pollination – impregnation - impartation. I am transforming My children to be a people called out by My name, to be a changed people – people that pulsate with the glory and beauty of My Kingdom. No longer will my children crawl around like caterpillars with their identity rooted in this world. They – have been transformed – renewed in their minds – a people that reflect My very nature – a people that have been transformed from this realm to the Heavenly. They have become butterflies of My reflective glory – they have taken flight, and in their flight they will pollinate the world around them with My kingdom, with My glory, with My love."

The Shaking

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst; I, Jehovah, will answer them, I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, and the myrtle, and the oil-tree; I will set in the desert the fir-tree, the pine, and the box-tree together: that they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of Jehovah hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. Isaiah 41:17-20 (ASV)

...And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not whither, neither shall the fruit thereof fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because the waters thereof issue out of the sanctuary; and the fruit thereof shall be for food, and the leaf thereof for healing. Ezek 47:12 (ASV)

This year there is going to be a gracious shacking in the kingdom of God. The shacking is a shacking of release into greater levels of love, mercy, and tenderness. This season is a season of harvest. This harvest is the harvest of the fruit trees of heaven. From across spectrum of the kingdom, trees that have been preparing, growing, and basting in His presence are moving into the realm of release and fruit-fullness. Let me explain.

House of Bread

“The average church has so much machinery and so little oil of the Holy Spirit that it squeaks like a threshing machine when you start it up in the fall after it has been out in the field all year.”
Billy Sunday (1862–1935)

The problem with many churches today is the same problem we see in many of our restaurants. The French were the first to coin the word “Restaurant.” In the Dictionnaire de Trevoux, in 1771, defined the word restaurateur, as

“Someone who has the art of preparing true broths, known as ‘restaurants’, and the right to sell all kinds of custards, dishes of rice, vermicelli and macaroni, egg dishes, boiled capons, preserved and stewed fruit and other delicious and healthy-giving foods.”

It wasn’t until 1786 that the word restaurant was used to describe an eating-house. The simplicity of the early eating-houses was nothing like the restaurants of today. They were the local hangouts – places that served comfort food – honest and homemade, at a value that was friendly to the common folk. What started out as a simple house-of-bread suddenly became more complex.
